Redout: Space Assault remains docked

Dear players and fans,

We are sorry to announce that Redout: Space Assault will be delayed. We do not know yet when the game will come out, and whether it will come out this year or not.

Ever since the reveal trailer last November, we have been flooded by your passionate reception for this title. We know you have high expectations for this game, and for the franchise as a whole. We want to deliver a game worthy of those expectations and the trust you have in us, and as the game stands, it is not living up to those expectations.

In its current state, Redout: Space Assault has not yet reached its full potential. We want to add more features to make the game better, as well as strengthening the narrative and the storytelling. We will keep working hard to deliver a game that will blow you away.

“A delayed game is eventually good, but a rushed game is bad forever bad.” – Shigeru Miyamoto. I’m sure there’s a good reason for the delay and I’m sure it will be worth the wait. I absolutely adore Redout on PC and want Space Assault to be the best game it can possibly be. Good luck to you guys! 🙂

Make it good. The early footage you guys put out makes it look a near carbon copy of Everspace. Everspace is alright, but my biggest problem with it was how SLOW it felt in terms of travel speed, especially when you weren’t fighting. Coming from the devs of a REALLY solid arcade racer, I was hoping you guys would provide an answer to that, but your early footage doesn’t seem to solve that problem in the slightest.

Maybe by the time it comes out, it’ll feel like it’s own unique game and offer that faster pace I’m looking for.

Game development is long and complex, so no wonder there will be delays, but if it will be like Redout, it will be totally worthed (P.S. forza Torino!)

@Developers Will this game be MMORPG style? I have a whole brigade waiting to jump into this game if it is an MMO. Also, if you guys can take a look into Ace Online it’s a very similar game to this.

I just noticed this is now a free game included in Apple Arcade. That was sudden! It’s in the arcade section of app store on both ios devices and apple tv.
